July 2019 A mural by Artist Paul Curtis welcomes all to the former West Derby Carnegie Library

This colourful mural was designed following discussions with the local community & school children when asked, ‘what does community mean to you?’

The artist, Paul Curtis who is well known across Liverpool for his public murals interpreted the answers by adding a quote to the mural - Everyone can be part of a community, you just have to look around. This statement came from a child at Lister Junior School on Green Lane, who must now be delighted that their answer forms part of this striking painting.
