January 2018 - A First Start For The National Trust

H.H. Smith are currently working at Quarry Bank Mill, Styal. This is the first time to undertake works on a National Trust property, but recent experience gained on restoration and conservation projects put H.H. Smith in a firm position to secure these works.

The works include conservation repairs to the existing grade II listed mills, a new lift shaft and associated services. The mill is closed during the works but the rest of the site and grounds remain open as a visitor attraction.

The professional partnership with Buttress Architects and Appleyard & Trew is once again proving to be a successful combination. Works are due to be complete in July 2018 and are valued at £2.25m.
