September 2015 – Back To School
H.H.Smith have completed in excess of £4m of works at various educational establishments ready for the start of the new school year.
St. Gabriel’s High School, works included the strip out, demolition and reinstatement of a new female toilet area.
Prestwich Arts College, works included the design and boiler installation works, associated heating and formation of a new caretaker’s room.
Radcliffe Hall Primary School, Phase 1 has been completed in 4 weeks, inclusive of remodelling works of the new Nursery and Staff Area.
4 further phases of work include the following;
Phase 2 – Demolition works, new classrooms, kitchen, main Hall/Dining, Toilets, Meeting Rooms & Stores.
Phase 3 – Remodelling to form new Main Entrance, Reception and Meeting Area.
Phase 4 – Construction of Toilets and Adaption of Toilets, Cloaks.
Phase 5 – Demolition of Dining Kitchen block and construction of Car Park, Fencing & Paths.
East Crompton & St George’s School, Oldham, can have confidence in being warm in the forthcoming winter months. A full mechanical re-pipe of the school along with 2 separate, 2 classroom extensions will ensure improved comfort for the increased pupil numbers.
St Hilda’s Primary School, can start the Autumn term with 2 new extensions and a new build 2 storey 6 classroom block fully operational. Giving staff and pupils a fresh start.
Holy Cross (Mary Kelly), can continue its expansion into the 3 storey Mary Kelly building along with the refurbished 2nd floor library. Works were carried out during term time ensuring no disruption to services or access.
Roe Lee Primary School, Darwen, Demolition of existing temporary buildings have enabled works to start at Roe Lee Primary to provide a new single storey extension. The new building will provide 4 new teaching areas, toilets and external landscaping.
