May 2015 – Smiths On Target For Summer Surf


Works are now near completion for the hub building works at the Surf Snowdonia development at Dolgarrog, near Conway in North Wales. This 300-metre inland surf lagoon, the  world-first Wavegarden facility will deliver the longest man-made surfable waves on the planet and be Britain’s first artificial surfing lake.

The official opening day is due on the 1st August 2015 which will showcase the centre’s Hub Buildings comprising an entrance and reception facility, the retail zone, main restaurant block, kitchen and changing facilities. Additionally, there will also be a Family Activity Building; Camp Site Amenity Building; 2 Surf Shacks, Plant Room and Bin Store.

A total of 6 buildings will make up the Hub designed and constructed by H.H. Smith within 7 months. Total hub value £2.5m.
