June 2015 – Smiths Etches It’s Way Into Museum’s History

Pre start meetings are now underway at Norton Priory, the 12th Century, Grade II listed Museum in Runcorn, Cheshire. H.H. Smith have been awarded conservation works on the site to the value of £3m, which includes refurbishing the existing museum, a new two storey link block, external re-cladding and a bright loft link which sits on top of the 12th Century undercroft.

H.H. Smith will be working once again with Buttress Architects who specialise in heritage projects. Part of the works include the safe removal, storage and relocation of the 4m stone St Christopher statue.

Works are due to start on site in July 2015 and due to complete in December 2015.
