The specialist Education sector currently represents a significant proportion of H H Smiths work over the past 20 years. We have successfully completed major contracts for over 20 local authorities and negotiated contracts direct with a number of education establishments. Our experience in this field has led to numerous additional phases on the same site which in itself is a testimony to our performance and client relations.
Our expertise includes the following – nurseries, surestart centres, primary & secondary school, 6th form colleges & Universities. Project values may vary from £50,000 to £5,000,000 and from basic classroom refurbishments to New Sports Halls and Classroom blocks.
Because of our commitment to the Health, Safety and welfare of the pupils/students, HH Smith & Sons is fully committed to the Safeguarding of Children. This has resulted in CRB checks have been carried out on all our employees.
We have also request that all our main Sub Contractors carry out CRB check on their employees. All Sub Contractors have to complete a Contractor Assessment.
Orders are only placed with contractors whom have completed an Assessment. Within the assessment we state that all Sub Contractor employees must be CRB checked and we require a list of employee names & registration numbers.
