August 2016 – Work is well under way at the Manchester City Centre Welsh Baptist Church site
The internal steel structure is taking shape within the Welsh Baptist’s heritage 1839, sandstone skin. The conservation work is delicate and complex, but aligned with new construction techniques will produce a wonderful state of the art residential building that Manchester can be proud of. The skyline will be retained along with the traditional aspect of the build which was designed by Sir Charles Barry who later designed the Palace of Westminster in London.
The experience gained in restoration and conservation works makes H.H. Smith a perfect contender for Heritage works.
